Good Environment-friendly Practices in Gujarat
Let us make a difference
Environmental degradation is one of the serious and glaring problems that our society is facing today. Be it the threat of air or water pollution, increasing sea water levels, constant reduction in the forest cover or the solid and bio-waste issue, saving our mother nature is one of the major challenges confronting mankind today.
Like they say little drops make an ocean, we feel every small step you take is a step towards a bigger change.
With the same spirit, Gujarat Ecology Commission (GEC) has initiated a study to identify initiatives that have made significant contributions towards saving our environment. As an outcome of the study, 20 best practices, which will showcase environment consciousness & action spirit of Gujarat, would be compiled in the form of a book.
All the 20 selected practices published in the book will be based on such environmental practices that have created a positive impact on the standard or quality of environment in the state. These practices could have either been carried out by any individual or organizations in Gujarat. With this initiative, GEC’s aim is to recognize, reinforce & reward good environmental-friendly practices in Gujarat.
World Around You (WAY) has been appointed as the official Environment Communication Partner & process advisors to GEC for this study. WAY is an environment communication (EC) initiative that is working towards sustainable living in Gujarat.
